Last Stroll

The night falls as you walk down the dark street

Your car is in the garage where the hotel and the cafe meet

You’re happy this is your last night to take this stroll

for when the day breaks, a new job you’ll go

Then you hear a sound of footsteps behind

when you look, no one’s there, you tell yourself

that it’s all in your mind

Not that far now, just be brave

keep walking, don’t look away

You hear the shuffling again, yet you continue

walking until you feel the pressure

against your neck

A low growl in your ear tells you this is the end

as the fangs bite into your skin
